WAVMAKERS EDU | THE UNTOLD STORIES BEHIND THE JOURNEY

An intimate storytelling series that peeks behind the bravado to give the untold journey of artists and producers often left out of social media and traditional interviews. Untold stories from the musicians and producers whose sounds we may know well, but may not know precisely how we came to know it. From Soundcloud legends to Grammy-winning producers, WAVmakers EDU delivered unprecedented first-person access to the inspiration, setbacks, and once in a lifetime opportunities that paved the way in today’s music game.

THE ART OF STORYTELLING

PIECE 1: HOW WE MAKE IT

Demystifying the music industry for young artists by giving them the insight to show that they too can make it in the game. Led by those whose sound has changed the landscape of music and how we listen to it. This series will examine intimate stories about the process of making a hit song, staying true to your sound in the face of fad music and more. In this educational and inspirational piece, we’ll have the artist give us a step-by-step tutorial in his or her own words and style.

PIECE 2: STORIES FROM THE JOURNEY

Educating the future artists of tomorrow to know that regardless of who you are, and where you come from, there will be obstacles to overcome. We’ll discuss with each artist an intimate moment in their career that they felt like they were going up against unwinnable odds. In this quiet confessional style piece, we’ll go inside the story, and allow the artist to tell it in their words, their way.

PIECE 3: WE OUT HERE

WAV will create content capturing all of the interactions of the artist with the kids and feedback from attendees to showcase first hand the positive impact of artists giving back to the community. This piece will be an overview of each event, allowing the artist to give the kids platform and showing them that success is something that they too can achieve.

WAVmakers EDU is a series presented by WAV, Notes For Notes, Native Instruments, and DEC Artists that helps young people experience the behind the scenes stories and lessons from some of the industry's most prominent hitmakers - at free public studios.

Our goal is to give the kids at each event hands-on experience with a functioning recording studio (and experts on site to provide demos) to work towards confidence in the studio. In addition to getting to know their strengths, attendees will learn how to make the most of their career directly from those who have already done it. We do that through in-person + digital workshops, interviews, and classes facilitated by Notes For Notes and the creatives we partner with; which will be available to WAV users around the globe.
